Here are my top seven favorite videos from YouTube. Why seven you ask? Because I could not remember eight. Anyway, I do not expect everyone to agree with this list, but if you do not at least get a small laugh from all of these videos, you may need to get some professional help.
#7 Cows with Guns
Very silly song about………………..Yes, cows with guns. I love this video and think the lyrics are really funny and well done. Watch this twice. The first time just watch it. The second time pay close attention to the lyrics. I’ll bet you will want to fight for bovine freedom!!
#6 Seagulls (Stop It Now) – A Bad Lip Reading of the Empire Strikes Back
Bad Lip Reading, or BLR as it is also known, is a group that takes videos and does funny voice overs on them. There have to be close to a million (possible exaggeration) different videos done on all types of subjects, including movies, TV shows, politics, the NFL, etc. Just go to YouTube and search BLR to pick out your favorite. Run, run, run, jump!
#5 Llamas With Hats
This is a series of 12 very dark comedy episodes about a “normal” llama and his interactions with his homicidal friend. Very dark, and very funny in my humble opinion. Just ask Ka….EarLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
#4 The Kitty Cat Dance
The annoyance level on this video is very high for some, but to me, it is priceless. And it is part of the greatest practical joke ever (a story for another time). All I can say is this does not make a very good ring tone if you expect to get calls at work. I’m just saying. You will either love this video or really hate it. It is very short, so watch the whole thing.
#3 Happy Guy Happy Dog Compilation
This is the antithesis to the Kitty Cat Dance in number 4. It is almost impossible to watch this without at least cracking a smile. It should make you quite a hap hap happy guy.
#2 The Honey Badger narrated by Randall
This is a nature clip where a guy named Randall did the voice over and added his personal “style” to the narration. Not only will you learn about the Honey Badger, you should get a pretty good laugh as well. Why? Because the Honey Badger just doesn’t give a shit!
#1 The Onion – Multiple Stab Wounds May Be Harmful To Monkeys
And the number one video has earned this spot. If you are not familiar with the Onion, you have been missing out. They parody everything. TV shows, science, news, you name it. Besides their YouTube presence, they have put out several books that are hilarious. This video deals with a “study” to see if stabbing is hazardous to your health. It is done so seriously, the comments section is off the hook with all of the comments from people who believe this is a real study. Those are the same people that are shocked when they realize they have been ripped off and there is no Nigerian prince trying to give them money.
If these do not lift your spirits, then here are a few more ideas to try. Search “People Slipping on Ice.” I don’t know why this is so funny to me, but it is. As long as no one is seriously hurt. Then it is freaking hilarious.
Also search “Best Animal News Bloopers.” There is one where a weather man has a lizard jump on him and he almost has a seizure. Priceless.
